Do you ever have those days where everything goes wrong? It doesn’t feel real, it’s like your life is a movie.
Someone calls you first thing in the morning, complaining, and it puts you in a bad mood? You get interrupted in the middle of a workout and have to end it before you’re finished? You forget to grab something because you’re on the phone and distracted. Someone says something that hurt your feelings or is just mean. It bugs you for half an hour. You try to book a flight and your credit voucher doesn’t work so you wait on hold. Someone steals your credit card info so you’re on the phone again, on hold. It’s just one of those days for me.
I walked out of Walgreens with my face wash and saw a bouquet of roses left on my car. If there was a note, it blew away.
My sister came over, without my brother-in-law. As I expected. He wouldn’t make eye contact with me at my niece’s birthday party. It’s just awkward, something is going on. They left church and decided to move to TX in a trailer. The whole family is against it. Normally I’d be thrilled to have them home but it’s different this year. Things have changed, (more on that later).
The highlight of my entire day was giving my boyfriend a hug. Laying on my yoga mat, and typing this Blogmas post. Realizing, one day I’ll want to go back to December because I’m not promised a forever with the people I love.
Turned out the roses weren’t from my boyfriend… what a great addition to the day huh?
It’s December, everyone is visiting their families. My town is small enough to run into people. I think I have a clue. I threw them out in the snow.
My family thought I was breaking up with S. Mom brought them in from the backyard and put them in water. “The roses didn’t hurt anybody sweetheart.”
Keep working hard and loving the life you live even when it feels like it all sucks. A servant of God is the highest calling. I’m willing to spend my life doing and building whatever He wants me to. If that’s all I do, it’ll be enough.
I feel God closer as I search for Him. It’s the most incredible feeling in the world.
