What would you do with your time if you could do whatever you wanted?
A lady asked me this question the other day.
Sometimes you just want to leave work at 10:00 am. Leaving when everyone else is starting because you woke up four hours before they did and clocking hours doesn’t matter. Going to work every day because you love the people so much, not because you need a paycheck. Washing your makeup off at 11 and taking a nap because you’re exhausted, sleeping deeper than you do at night. Waking up with your trade in profit, earning an entire week’s paycheck during a nap. Singing in the shower at midday and eating lunch whenever you’re hungry for it. Walking around in your slippers while building your dreams and making them your reality. Calling grandpa to make sure he’s doing okay and bringing mom tea. Doing Pilates in your Lululemon and going out for a coffee run. Walking around the neighborhood listening to your favorite songs so loud that it drains everyone out. Going back to work in the late afternoon and meeting your boyfriend for dinner after. Dancing in the empty studio for some therapy, doing a facial while watching an episode of Gilmore Girls before bed. Writing out a post to blog and going to sleep early enough that the 4:00 am wake-up doesn’t hurt so bad.
It’s my kind of perfect day.
Not all of my days look like this, but during the school year I get some of them and it’s so magical. I like them better than my birthday.
Goodnight blog friends. Thx for clicking on another post. I can’t believe how many of you read these random posts, getting to know all of you is changing my life. ❤ -Elaina
