I’m sorry the title click baited you. 😦 Don’t worry, I’m more sad than you.
The trading bot is not done. We’ve had many failures and bugs, more than the last update I posted.
Update: Binary FAILED completely. Not working on that anymore. Solomon is still working on the bot, we’ve had some seriously depressing weeks. The temptation of giving up got pretty strong. Common, it’s been 1,008 days and we have… nothing but more work to be done. Our we wasting our lives on this dream of a functioning trading bot? His strategy has so much potential but at the end of the day it’s always up to chance. We might pass funding if we’re lucky and Solomon will never settle for that. He is a guy of certainty. Hilarious. He’s a trader.
We had two weeks of total misery. I thought for sure that market spread would be the death of him, and he would be the death of me. His strategy seemed to be golden, the back tester passed his standards with flying colors and we were hyped. Then, we added spread into the equation and it plummeted. It looked like we had to start over.
S fixed the spread issues. Not that spread can be “fixed,” he cut out trades where the spread was worse. (If you want to know how, he’d make a post on here). Fixing spread and cutting trades made our profit non existent. We’re back to uncertainty and huge draw downs, eliminating funding opportunities.
Now, he spent a pretty penny on a whole team of coders going through his script and optimizing it. His bot is pages and pages of complicated code so it’s taking them a week longer than expected. I just hope it works.
We could have a Christmas miracle on our hands here. Hey! It’s almost Thanksgiving, if I’m not on here before then, Happy Thanksgiving. I’m thankful for you.
At the end of next week my title should be true. Fingers crossed. Eeeekkkkkk!!!
