The Blog Is Getting Too Big-I’m Taking It Down

Over the years, the readers have grown. They’ve grown up and grown in number. This place is special, because of YOU. It’s been six years already!

Some have come and left. By some mystery, you found me without SEO or promoted content. Before Pinterest even, something led you here. Others have stayed, or came back years later and stuck. That’s all the fun in this.

It’s so funny. Like how?!

My boyfriend wants me to turn the blog into an income stream, but I’m so opposed to that idea. I don’t want the site to be all about marketing.

You may be thinking I’m crazy too. Blogging is time-consuming. Why would you do it for free? Well…

Once something starts making you money, it changes. It turns into work, and you find yourself doing it for the paycheck. Or, you feel like you have to do it a certain way. That’s what I DON’T want to happen. I don’t want my success to be defined by how many clicks I got or if I made more than the previous month. My success is that I push post and that’s all I want.

Sure, I wouldn’t hate having some extra cash for our downpayment on a house or the wedding, and I’m sure that’s what my boyfriend is thinking as well.

Sorry I click baited you.

You can yell at me through E-mail.

Why this blog is successful, I have no idea. All I do is write about the things that happen in my life. I’m not selling anything, or advertising any sort of brand or idea. I’m not getting you to click on links or watch videos. I write and you e-mail me about it.
